Does Metcalf really have people pushing him for the HOF?
Decent career, but hardly Hall worthy. Especially when Brian Mitchell never got so much as a sniff.

There are enough on the screening committee that think he's one of the top 100 candidates at least

Metcalf - growing up in the Cleveland Metcalf-up-the-middle days, I find myself thinking he played in the wrong era a couple times a season. Woulda been killer on bubble screens.

Taylor is kind of unique. He had so many injuries, yet lasted way longer (in seasons) than almost all RBs in his era. Would say no for HOF, don't think in any of his seasons he was a top 5 RB in the league.

Eric Metcalf in an offense like the Rams' Greatest Show On Turf would've been a sight to see.

Fred Taylor = Hall of Very Good.

    Not Hall of Fame.

  7. No.
Though had some really nice games and runs against the Steelers.

His best season came in the same year that Jamal Lewis, Tomlinson, Ahman Green, Deuce McAllister and Clinton Portis all had career seasons.

He would've been top 5, and probably top 3, in almost every year since.

His 4.6 ypc looks pretty good against contemporaries like Davis and Holmes. Davis got in already, but Holmes won't, though Holmes was arguably the best back in the league for nearly four years.

Fred killed too many fantasy football teams to be a Hall of Famer.

We joke, but I don't doubt for a second that this plays some kind of factor bc he did kill a lot of seasons.

When does Roger Craig fall onto the right side of the line?
