    Both would have been excellent choices, but I'm willing to give Bart Scott a chance. I think he's been pretty decent when I've heard him with Boomer.

    Simms would have been my first choice.

    Russo is only a little more than a year into a 3-year deal at SiriusXM. I doubt they'd buy him out and give him a raise above the $3m/yr or whatever he's making.

    He did say last year that if Francesa wanted to do something like a once-a-week show together (on satellite), he'd do it.
