The Philly 4th of July Jam concert was very cool. John Mayer gave off a very SRV-esque vibe during his set.

Small gathering with friends/co-workers and my wife, kid and folks (who are in town for the weekend).
Typical 4th food fare (brats, burgers, noodle salads with mayo-based dressing, baked beans, pie and cake).
Took my son swimming in the pool, drank 1 beer and then went to work.
I probably could have had 2 more beers...we got in early, I didn't need to be sober for this!

At my brother's lake house near the Canadian border in Vemont getting repeatedly mauled by their half lab, half pit bull puppy, which is already more than 60 pounds. Kids seem to think it's pretty funny, though.

Worked the local minor-league nine's usual Fourth of July game last night.

Off to Charleston to see Jason Isbell tonight at the Pour House. Fair tradeoff, if you ask me.

Fourth plans got pushed to the Fifth. Smoker's rolling, my very own Problem Child Nut Brown Ale is poured (yes, I know it's 9 a.m.) and Thorogood is blasting the motorcycle speakers in the garage.

What time's supper? It'll take me about 5 hours to get there!

Small cookout with friends, watched some fireworks. Today will be a casino visit, Tribe game, and maybe whiffleball with Mario Lopez.

Went to my wife's ancestral home for a gathering of 25-30 people. Had some burgers, hot dogs and dessert, followed by a family softball game in the pasture. My brother-in-law mowed a diamond in the grass and laid out some carpet squares for bases.
That was followed by some down time until dark and then lots of really unspectacular fireworks. They were mostly bought by or for the kids, who don't have a clue what they're buying (and probably don't care). More sparky fireworks than boom-boom fireworks.
    Good times, man. Good times.
