    I covered it and didn't notice anything about his officiating one way or the other. Refs let them play in the paint, but I thought it was a fairly called game.

    Fun fact: Hess was Liberty's all-time assists leader until the current LU point guard broke it this year.

    I've dealt with him for a few stories. He still lives in the area. Comes off as, um, smarmy.
