This is the big news I hinted at a while ago, never did get it confirmed:

RT @EricFisherSBJ Sources: Pat Forde leaving ESPN for Yahoo Sports.

Me again - they've been talking to some others, I'm told. Yahoo is not done with this one.

I read on sportsjournalism.org that Jason King might be moving the other way, leaving Yahoo! for ESPN.

    I understand that's done?
Yahoo has been hanging around my town, trying I'm told to poach a significant name from here (not one on my staff - at least not one I've been told about yet).

Be careful with that word, "poach." Spurrier might call you out.

I won't answer any more questions while Moddy is in the room.

That's interesting to use the "Sources:" thing when talking about another writer. Is it a source with knowledge of someone familiar with Forde's thinking?

Forde was the only guy I read on the .com. That's a big hit.

I'm staunchly against multiple exclamation points, but you could make a strong case for a second one here.

Assuming this is correct, I'm very happy for Pat.

    Dude is really, really good.

Losing Feldman and Forde seriously downgrades ESPN.com's FBall coverage, but the WWL could care less. They'll throw some $ at some writers and believe they haven't missed a beat.

ESPN.com still strong with Maisel and Schlabach on the grid scene but they currently lack depth.

Glad to hear that Pat is getting away from the Mouse-Eared Giant.

Good to see that Yahoo! and CBSSports.com are willing to compete.

This reads like the free-agent signing period.

I would guess Forde Yard Dash and Forde Minutes would go along with Forde to Yahoo! Wouldn't be considered intellectual property, correct?
