Larry has been an NFL writer there maybe from the beginning. His wife, Karren – a graphic artist at USAT until she struck out on her own as a freelancer – died at the end of last week:

my sympathies to larry and his kids. how awful. :'( :'( :'(

larry's one of the truly good people. quick to smile or offer a one-liner. i knew him back in the day, when he covered the jets for westchester-gannett before he left for the upstart usa today.

he'll be getting a phone call, that's for sure.

I bought my first place from Larry and Karren, when they moved to the burbs to start their family.

She'd had a tough way to go, for a long while.

    Damn.

Larry's one of my favorite people in the circles of the NFL. That really sucks.

My prayers to Larry and the family.
