I never thought in a million years it'd be through MLB.com. The Tigers weren't. It was private. Then again, the stadium went unused for nearly a decade before the sale.

By the way, Shea had green and red seats? Where? What section? I thought they were all blue!

My County Stadium seat was $250. The lead paint risk was free!

(I didn't purchase one of the wooden lead paint seats, I got ripped off!)

Upper level seats at Shea are red and green.

Huh. I didn't know that. Those are the only colors remaining.

Tiger Stadium didn't even sell everything. When they were tearing it down a few weeks ago there were still seats left but all the ramps were torn down. I still stole a cinder block. Its in my garage.

They would make playing Super Nintendo the ultimate experience.

I have Cecil Fielder's jock. I sleep with it every night.

This thread makes me think of newer stadiums holding sales when they close and wondering if people will have the same nostalgia for the diving board to the swimming pool at The Bob, the train at Enron Field, the slide at Miller Park...

Nope. I snuggle with it. I put it on my baseball pillow and, well, it does the rest.
