I don't even know how to put this into words...

I think my concert resume between 1978 and 1990 would stack up with close to anyone's. Prince played one of the three best shows I've ever seen. Little dude's a giant.

    His Royal Purple Badness.

  5. Here's another version, from the Concert For George, with a decent player on lead.

And, of course, the guy who wrote it.

I wonder if Harrison and Jimmy Page were hanging out a lot in the summer of 1968.

    From 2:23 in.

  7. This song was the one that truly established George as a songwriter who could stand with Lennon and McCartney. "Taxman" did it for me, but this one did it for the world, I think.

Is that Harrison's kid in the background? Looks dead-on George.

  9. In both the Prince and Clapton clips, yes.

    Wow.

I love watching those All-Star Jam benefit concerts.

Just a bunch of people getting together and playing, and when I say bunch, when you have 3 separate drummers, a piano, 2 keyboards, 2 more percussionists, 4 or 5 string guitars, a couple electric guitars, a bass, back-up vocals.......those are a blast.

  11. Outside of guitars, is there a better rock and roll instrument than the Hammond B3 organ?

    I say not.

In todays world of electronics, they are sadly under-used.
