If they replaced all that nasty-ass ground sausage with bread, and made the whole thing like a scotch egg, but with higher quality meat and no egg, I'd consider eating it. With a bottle of porter or stout.

I'm a little surprised to find out no pair has eaten the whole thing. I'd drive 10 hours to give it a shot.

Wow ... thought I was going to get that hanging curve by everyone.

 

There's a show on the Travel Channel called "Man vs. Food" where they go around the country trying different challenges like that. The Carnivore Challenge was one of their stops. One guy did OK, and ate most of his half in about 45 minutes. The other guy struggled, got through about half of his half before throwing in the towel, then ralphed up what he did eat on the side of the building a few minutes later.

 

I think we need to get to the bottom of this issue: Why does he have the helmet in some photos but not in others? Could they be twins?
