Congrats, Johnny. You'll love the move -- the Pacific Northwest is absolutely wonderful.

Does anyone want to take a week off and go on an adventure with me, splitting the driving from the Gulf South to the Pacific Northwest?

Don't everyone all speak up at once!

(looking for the emoticon that says "Man, moving is a major pain.")

Day One. Got a late start but put a good warmup lap behind me today.

Stopped for the night at: Tyler, Texas (or thereabouts).
    Miles so far: 384.
Mpg on the 1999 Honda Civic: 32.4.
    Incidents: 0.
    SportsJournalists.com co-pilots: 0.
SportsJournalists.com co-pilots in spirit: Several dozen.
Outside temperature: Might as well be walking on the sun.
Inside temperature: Ahhh. Nothing beats AC.
Plan for tonight: Cold water, warm shower, then sleep.

If you're between here and Amarillo, let me know and I'll wave at you as I drive by tomorrow.

Love the updates... keep 'em coming.

I've been in the neighborhood of where you are in Texas, and I can picture it very well.

    This is fun! :)

What's the route? Is the backseat full of luggage or can Luggz and I hop in and sing road songs the whole way?
