Too early to tell who will play Dr. Rosenpenis himself...

Aww, remaking great movies is worse that having somebody with little ability cover a great song.

My motto to Hollywood: If it was great, don't fuck with it.

If they stick to the books, it will have little to do with the Chevy Chase version.

Whatever happened to Kevin Smith's version of this project, that was set to star Jason Lee as Fletch?

Gosh, I hope they find a way to put all of Will Smith's kids in this one!

I think it's funny that the only reason this wasn't made seven years ago is because the studio didn't think Jason Lee or Ryan Reynolds was famous enough.

I don't hate Zach Braff, but I'm glad they never did the movie with him playing Fletch. What's funny now is that Lee is probably too old to play him and Reynolds is probably too busy.

I'm trying to think of who might be good, granted, it seems a little unclear if they're re-making the 1985 film or doing the older books, where Fletch is younger.

    Seth Rogen?

    James Franco?

    Jason Segel?

    Paul Rudd?

    Ryan Phillippe?

Fletch Lives was the sequel to Fletch... you need a different title for the thread :)

Fletch was not a great movie. Amusing. Not close to great.

  12. Gregory McDonald came from Shrewsbury Mass. Same hometown as Charlie Pierce.

    What are the odds?
