NFL.com is doing this for the best team of all-time. I think it's down to eight.

Derp. Of course it was. I guess I didn't put two and two together since it's usually never referred to by who won the race. Also, it should have said "live, nationally-television, flag-to-flag" Daytona 500. ABC would cut into live coverage of Daytona 500s before that (I believe the end of the 1976 race was live on the East Coast at least.)

This is my 2nd year of running a "Beer 68" bracket...about 15 of my friends get involved. The hardest part is narrowing down the beers to 68 and then ranking them for each regional.
Last year we just through them in randomly. This year we have a Major Label bracket; Major crafts; Imports and a mish-mash of imports and regional breweries.
Down the the Elite 8 right now. Vote if you want: https://www.facebook.com/groups/135490896521654/

I'd probably drop out if it was movies. I wouldn't be against TV shows, though.

I'd prefer TV shows, as well. To me, the current format requires too much thinking and analysis.

Well, this will probably get more reaction. I take it that someone writing for Time Magazine must have been born after 1980. Are the seedings from their rankings as well? Was going to say that All in the Family not being a 1 or a 2 was surprising; then I saw Andy Griffith at 12 and did a spit take. (Cosby show at 12 as well.) Whole lot of recent shows that probably have no business here (I'll pick on Gilmore Girls & Bones as examples.) They must have won their conference tournaments to get in. Some of these I've not even heard of, but that probably says more about me than the shows. You could come up with a pretty long list of shows whose casts are stunned that they were put in the NIT. Dick Van Dyke Show, Mary Tyler Moore, and either of Newhart's shows probably leading that list.

And no, dammit, I'm not that old. You can walk on my lawn if you like. (Just do it carefully.)
