Felix Hernandez throws perfect game

    "The first perfect game thrown by a Mariner" is completely confusing? It's actually the exact same number of characters as, "The first perfect game in Mariners history."

    Saying "it's not really the first perfect game in Mariners history" is confusing. Everybody knows what is meant, so there's no need to revise.

    I agree. Correcting others, in this case, is pedantic. Using the proper terminology in your own copy is smart.

    Sorry, I'm invoking the ear rule. "First perfect game thrown by a Mariner" sounds clunky to me.

    Whatever happened to Sub-mariner? Was he an Avenger?

    He left his duties as Submariner and became known mostly by his given name, Namor.

    He was an Invader and is currently with the X-Men...not sure about Avengers.

    don't get your point about martinez. are you attempting to say martinez would have had more RBI with the yankees than he would have had with the mariners?
