Great movie, except when the high schools in Alexandria were merged, they had already been intergrated some 10 years.

And, Alexandria was never a small Southern town.

Seriously hoping that brotha at the UNIVERSITY OF MIAMI turns that ship around into a powerhouse again.

    That'll be sweet.

Most D-I colleges remain white institutions. At historically black colleges, you'll find most of the coaches are black.

Nevertheless, it's a disturbing trend. Hard to say why it persists. Karl Dorrell has a pretty strong foothold at UCLA and talent coming in the door, so I would expect his program to turn out a few head coaches in coming years (specifically the new offensive coordinator).

True, Cadet. I think a lot of that has to do with the politics of divisiveness that has gripped our country since the early 1990s. No one wants to listen to the other side anymore.

With February being Black History Month, perhaps we should all take a moment and check out the lyrics to a song written by Stevie Wonder. It's from the Songs in the Key of Life album and I suggest everyone should check it out. You might learn something.

    "Black Man" by Stevie Wonder

    First man to die
For the flag we now hold high [Crispus Attucks]
    Was a black man

    The ground were we stand
With the flag held in our hand
    Was first the red man's

    Guide of a ship
On the first Columbus trip [Pedro Alonzo Nino]
    Was a brown man

    The railroads for trains
Came on tracking that was laid
    By the yellow man

    We pledge allegiance
    All our lives
    To the magic colors
    Red, blue and white
But we all must be given
    The liberty that we defend
For with justice not for all men
    History will repeat again
    It's time we learned
This World Was Made For All Men

    Heart surgery
    Was first done successfully
By a black man [Dr Daniel Hale Williams]

    Friendly man who died
But helped the pilgrims to survive [Squanto]
    Was a red man

    Farm workers rights
Were lifted to new heights [Caesar Chavez]
    By a brown man

    Incandescent light
Was invented to give sight [Thomas Edison]
    By the white man

    We pledge allegiance
    All our lives
    To the magic colors
    Red, blue and white
But we all must be given
    The liberty that we defend
For with justice not for all men
    History will repeat again
    It's time we learned
This World Was Made For All Men

    Hear me out...

Now I know the birthday of a nation
Is a time when a country celebrates
But as your hand touches your heart
Remember we all played a part in America
    To help that banner wave

    First clock to be made
    In America was created
By a black man [Benjamin Banneker]

    Scout who used no chart
    Helped lead Lewis and Clark
    Was a red man [Sacagawea]

    Use of martial arts
In our country got its start
    By a yellow man

And the leader with a pen
Signed his name to free all men
Was a white man [Abraham Lincoln]

    We pledge allegiance
    All our lives
    To the magic colors
    Red, blue and white
But we all must be given
    The liberty that we defend
For with justice not for all men
    History will repeat again
    It's time we learned
This World Was Made For All Men

This world was made for all men
This world was made for all men
This world was made for all men
God saved His world for all men
    All people
    All babies
    All children
    All colors
    All races
    This world's for you
    and me
    This world
    My world
    Your world
    Everybody's world
    This world
    Their world
    Our world
This world was made for all men

Bingo. I hope that the NFL sees the success of the two coaches in the Super Bowl and decides to let teams hire on merit, rather than holding onto a policy of affirmative action which would no doubt make people like Jackie Robinson wretch.

If a team has Bill Parcells lined up to coach, it should be the qualities of a black coach that make that team want to do one more interview, not the fact that the NFL might fine them in a bizarre act of reverse discrimination.
