No. And they wouldn't make a bowl game unless they're at least 6-6. Only conference champions get auto bids.

Buh-bye BCS at-large, Hokies. UNC wins 20-17 in Blacksburg.

Who ever mentioned VT as a possible BCS at-large selection? No chance the ACC was ever getting TWO teams in the BCS. The winner would go to the Orange and the loser went to the Gator or whatever shit bowl it would be.

VT used to have a good defense. Not tonight. No backbone. At all.

Jay, the USC-Oregon game will be on ESPN2 if you're getting the Texas game.

That was me who mention the Hokes as a possible BCS team - two losses against two top 10 teams by a total of 15 points and an easy schedule down the stretch sitting at 13 before tonight?
That said - Bama's win over VTech was probably the best non-conference win for the entire SEC. It doesn't look as impressive now.

    Going to KState/OU tomorrow.

This will be a closer game than people think.

Well, that sequence should be fun for somebody to write about.

I get NBC wanting to air a Notre Dame in prime time, but why pick a week where they are going against Game 3 of the World Series? Not to mention another, and obviously better college game on ABC?

Not just one better game on ABC, either. Two. And they'll both be on air either on ABC or ESPN2.

I guess tonight, West Virginia fans will burn couches because of a loss instead of after a win.
