Bobby Petrino takes Arkansas to Lexington, with less talent than Steve Kragthorpe has had in his two seasons at Louisville, and will probably walk out of Commonwealth Stadium with another victory.

Pitt-Navy has "letdown game" written all over it.

With Pitt coming off a bye week, I doubt it.

Pitt's absolutely horrible coming off bye weeks under Wlatstedt.

Maybe he meant a letdown week for Navy

  6. That's four posts more than I ever thought I'd read about Pitt/Navy.

False. Arky would have gone 0-for-8 in SEC play if not for the current anarchy on the Plains.

Can't wait to read Franklin's book about this one.

Big 12 has obvious marquee games this week with:
Kansas vs. OU and Texas vs. Missouri

But the Illinois/IU game is suddenly a tad intriquing to me after watching last nite a replay of the 1989 IU at Illinois game when Jeff George threw 5 touchdowns for the Illini to one-up IU tailback Anthony Thompson

Maybe Juice can show Kellen Lewis how to settle down and play ball.
Both of these teams hoped for bowls in August but only Illinois might get as much as six wins.
And that's with a triumph over Iowa later on.
Schedule's brutal for both, so this week might be their "bowl game".

Question Tubs got about Saban on this morning's SEC call = Awesomely awkward.

Not sure if this is what he's talking about...

Auburn coach Tommy Tuberville got a bit feisty after an oddly phrased question posed to him on the SEC's weekly teleconference Wednesday. Check out the amusing exchange below.

Reporter from Palm Beach Post: "Hey coach, how are you today? Just wondering, what is your impression of the job Nick Saban has done at Alabama and what's it been like for you guys being kind of passed by Alabama as the top team in the state?"

    (pause for crickets, tumbleweeds, etc.)

    Tuberville: "Next question."

After recovering from that, Tuberville fielded a couple questions from the Press-Register for an upcoming story on local hero Pat White.

Tuberville also once again gave strong support to QB Kodi Burns.

"I want Kodi to understand this is his team, this is his type of offense," Tuberville said. "I want him to relax and play and know that we've had some problems, but we think he can work through those problems."
