Why would he want to do this? Nobody watches Fox News.

Peter King had this in today's column ...

"Favre has gone underground. My text messages for him and agent Bus Cook went unreturned Friday and Sunday, and he still has not come out publicly and said anything about his desire to return to football."

I just came on to post this myself.

First, the note in the column by King is hilarious. "Brett's found a new man!"

Second, if I'm a beat writer, I'm pissed about this.

I hear Brett hates the liberal media.

Does anyone know what he means by this statement?

"I am guilty of retiring early and there is a reason for that," Favre said, according to an excerpt provided to The Associated Press. "And the major issue is 'Why did he retire,' and 'He asked for a release because he doesn't want to play in Green Bay.' That's not true. And I hope people are hearing this and saying 'OK, that clears it up.' "

I guess Al Jones wasn't reaching the audience Brett wanted.

Translation: I am an insincere douchebag who has threatened to retire every season since 2001. I cannot possibly understand how the Packers could get sick of this behavior and I don't understand why they might not want me back. After all, I am Brett Favre.

I was 99 percent sure the answer to the thread title involved a picture of Fozzy Bear on the phone.
