KSTP in Minneapolis has this on their website:

    Let the speculation begin.

    From the website:

Green Bay Packers quarterback Brett Favre will hold a news conference at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday in the Lambeau Field media auditorium.

There's no indication at this point what the legendary Packer quarterback is going to announce. The Packers lost their first preseason game of the year by two touchdowns to the San Diego Chargers.

In January, Favre did an extended interview with ESPN talking about his future.  Watch that interview.

Stay with 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS and KSTP.com throughout the day for continuing updates on this story.

EDIT: Packers have a "Live press conference" link on their homepage now.

He's gone. There is no other way to view this.

He's leaving his wife and family to hook up with Peter King.

Relax, he'll just be announcing that Ben Stiller should stop calling him "Fav-ra"

Could he be "announcing" his weekly press conference, or is there some indication that there's actual news to this other than a vague TV news Web site brief?

Is it too much to hope that he's annoucing his retirement?

I am SO sick of the Favre worship by the Packer fans I know and am related to.

    Rosie,
I'm a Packers fan, and fuck no it's not too much. This bullshit has gone on long enough. I know I'm in the minority of Pack fans, but let them get on with it. If Rodgers is the guy, find out this year; why wait another year? Can they possibly win the SB this year? Fuck no.

Let's get updates for those of us who can't get that video/don't have a TV handy.
