Favorite MTV show, past AND present

    The only good MTV was the one that showed music videos. Ever since Real World and Jackass and all that other crap took over, it has sucked, sucked, sucked. I've eliminated it from the guide on my DirecTV.

    Of course, I'm 45. So what do I know about MTV at this point.

    For the generation that watched for the videos, what are your faves?

    Here was the first video I ever saw, and it has stayed my favorite (along with Da Funk by Daft Punk).

    Probably Losing My Religion. Also liked Where the Streets Have No Name and Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking for from U2, and Metallica's One.

    My favorites from the early days would include things like Take on Me from A-Ha and That's All from Phil Collins - the first video I ever saw after we finally got MTV on our cable system.
