Speaking of The E Street Band, Clarence Clemons appeared in two episodes of Season 3 of The Wire as Roman, a youth services worker who helps Cutty set up his boxing gym.

    "Dogtown and the Z Boys"
Not the documentary, but the one with actors.
The Zephyr skateboard team is starting to get famous. They are at an event in Houston and get to meet some astronauts. So about 5 of the astronauts are lined up in their space suits, meeting the team. One of them decides to try out a skateboard. He takes off his helmet and it's Tony Hawk. He steps on the skateboard and stumbles. He said, "This isn't as easy as it looks."

    Kevin McHale on Cheers

Kareem as a teacher on Diffrent Strokes. He takes a note that Arnold wrote, reads it in front of the class, wads it up, and shoots it at the garbage can. And misses.

Rev. Al Sharpton in Malcolm X

The whole baseball announcing crew in Naked Gun.

  11. I'll take Wade Boggs over McHale on Cheers.

    "We got Wade Boggs pants!"

Since it was one scene, we can call it a cameo: Walken in "Pulp Fiction." He and Baldwin are in the one-scene pantheon.
SNL digital shorts: where do we begin? For the facial expressions alone: John McEnroe in "I Just Had Sex."
Not because he was a great performer, but being so random and unexpected: Obama unmasking in the SNL Halloween party cold opener.
The Farrelly brothers put one in nearly all their movies: Favre, Neely, Roger Clemens as a thug in "Kingpin," Anna Kournikova as a hotel clerk in "Me, Myself and Irene"...
Will Ferrell in "Wedding Crashers," and Vince Vaughn, Ben Stiller, etc. in the rumble in "Anchorman."
