Yea, Mikey, vanilla is definitely one of the best, but sometimes I like a little variety.

Culvers has a very good Pumpkin Spice shake during the fall.

Most locations are in Wisconsin, Illinois and Michigan, although there are some along the eastern coast.

I like pumpkin pie, but don't care for anything else pumpkin -- bread, beer, etc.

I sure could go for a strawberry shake, Doc. Thanks a bunch.

Si. Other than that, gotta go with Arby's jamocha. And while we're on the topic, anybody else a fan of dipping fries in chocolate shakes? I've done it with McDonald's chocolate shakes and Frosties since I was a kid. Met a few people who did the same, but some people think it makes as much sense as peanut butter and sour cream.

THANK YOU! I clicked on this thread thinking, "If nobody has made that reference by now, we are well and truly pathetic."

That's pretty much how I feel. Just don't try to drink a Wendy's Frosty with a straw. You'll give yourself an aneurysm ...

Yeah. Well, if they make the ice cream, otherwise I can do it as well as they can. Now there's a place 30 miles away that not only makes the ice cream, they make the syrup from scratch. The only thing they don't do is milk a cow out back. Now that would be old school.

For chains, I'd have to go with Haagen-Dazs. I don't like it too thick and they usually get it just right. If I make a shake at home, it usually will be H-D vanilla with Hershey's chocolate syrup.
