    I really liked both Rome and the Clemente book. If I wanted to be completely honest and take my love for Clemente out of it, Rome was the better book. The research in it is just staggering and there's really only one chapter that drags. I need to get the Lombardi book soon.

    Buck, you should send it with my Confederates in the Attic. :D ;)

    The Passion and Grace of Baseball's Last Hero. It's a solid, solid read.

    And Maraniss didn't cut many corners with his relevant details.
