No joke. My home area can be kinda bad ... then I moved somewhere else for a job for more than three years. By comparison, home was calm and good-natured. Creepy is probably a good word, bordering on scary.

    No mention of Washington State?

How about it: "Fight, fight, fight for Washington State!"

Tom Tuttle from Tacoma taught the Communist Chinese to sing it, for gosh sakes! Catchy tune, that.

Heh. I heard (from a Washington grad, of course) that learning the fight song with all the spellin' and whatnot, is a for-credit class in Pullman. A Wazzu grad then said "only for a Husky, it would be."

When the song was written the Big 10 was known as the Western Conference.

    Ted Bundy was a Husky.

The Far Side author was a Coug, so, I think, was the Simpson's guy.

That pretty much sums it up.

I couldn't hum two bars of the song, and I generally dislike Ohio State, but I never mind watching the band spell out the script "Ohio." One thing I want to see before I go.

If you really want to piss off a Buckeye fan remind him that it was Michigan's band that first did the script Ohio.
