Favorite Beatles pastiche?

Not sure if this applies, but my favorite bastardization of the Beatles music is these guys:

    http://www.beatallica.org/beatallica.html

They take Metallica lyrics and put them to Beatles music. They used to have a lot of downloadable tunes, but shockingly, lawyers for the Beatles sent a cease-and-desist order. Metallica's lawyer expressed support for Beatallica (which actually was shocking), and the band's first record just came out.

    Pretty funny stuff.

Metallica expressed support because Metallica are getting a cut. That's all Metallica care about.

All your cut are belong to Metallica.

There was no money involved. Beatallica had everything available for free download to avoid legal issues.

Not sure if there is something in the contract now for Beatallica's first record.

Can't believe this thread has gone by without the master of aping the Beatles ... ELO's Jeff Lynne.

"Countin' On A Miracle," by Bruce Springsteen, off "The Rising," has a very "Eleanor Rigby"-ish middle bridge. Actually out of character for Bruce, who very rarely overtly apes the Beatles (although individual songs off "Nebraska" are very reminiscent of "Plastic Ono Band.")

I suppose this is as good a place as anywhere else:

Is anyone else SO THERE if the Fab Faux come to town?

Except for the part where I mentioned ELO in the first post.

Funny thing, but the perfect Beach Boys pastiche (or homage?) was "Back in the USSR" ... by the Beatles.

Yyyep. I'm a dipshit. Missed that ELO mention.

So I'll throw out the entire Stones psychedelic album (which has some good songs on it contrary to opinion) and run off in shame.
