So 10 points is the magical cutoff for con sitency. I guess the line for everybody would be different but lets pick 13.

    Games under 13 points, Ellington 5, Forsett 6, Bradshaw 5, Lynch 3.

And I'm not sure how you can simply dismiss Foster not playing, being on the field counts.

Isaiah Crowell, Trent Richardson or Shane Vereen?

Tough one. Crowell has the best matchup, but is arguably the weakest back. Vereen is probably the best back, but has the toughest matchup. Jonas Gray probably muddies the waters for Vereen a bit as well.

Hate to say it, but Trent Richardson might be the best play facing the Jags at home.

    Never Trent Richardson.

It would be typical Belichek to fuck with all the new Gray owners and play the shit out of Vereen.

Detroit gives up the fewest yards and 2nd-fewest rushing TDs of any team in the NFL this season. Even if Vereen gets 20+ carries, it's a good bet that won't translate into many points.

Jacksonville ranks 25th in rushing yards against and 18th in rushing TDs against. I understand the "Never Trent Richardson" argument, but Vereen is going to have some tough sledding this week.

How is the snow going to affect the Bills game, specifically Kyle Orton?

Vereen's a pass-catcher. Gray is not. This is more of a Vereen game given the matchup.

Yeah, a typical good Vereen game would be 30-40 yards rushing and 4-5 catches for 40 yards and maybe a TD.

One of the rules of thumb I've heard on Patriots running backs seems simple.
Vereen gets more points if it's a close game, since they'll throw more and he doesn't do much in the run game.
Gray (and Ridley and others before him) are better plays if you think the Patriots will have a lead, because they run the ball more in those situations.
So, look at the opponent. If you think Detroit can give them a game, roll with Vereen. If you think the Patriots will jump on top early and burn clock, go with the other guy.

Patriots signed LeGarrette Blount, muddying the waters even further.

Belichick is going to give Blount the ball 39 times just to make Mike Tomlin look stupid.
