    This is ... weird ...

    http://www.bayareasportsguy.com/john-allen-of-sports-kcnbc-might-not-be-a-credible-source-for-hot-stove-rumors/

    Cliffsnotes version:

    1. Ken Rosenthal said Hudson signing was first reported by @JohnAllenKCNBC

    2. "Allen" also tweeted out some other "sourced" details about Hudson and Josh Johnson (the Johnson info turned out to be wrong).

    HOWEVER ...

    3. "Allen's" Twitter photo came off some guy's Facebook page.

    4. The account has since been deleted.

And since when do stations have five-character call letters anyway (without a suffix anyway)? "KCNBC" was my first tipoff that something was screwy.
