    Hopefully this isn't a d_b.
Facebook announced it is getting out of the e-mail business because nobody used its e-mail service.

Always noticed that Facebook gave me a Facebook.com address.
Never used it. Never thought about using it. Never got an email there.

Had no idea Facebook was even in the e-mail business.

Bless the people who are still buying FB stock.

I am amused by the predictions of Facebook's demise. Yes, it is no longer the cool place to go for college kids.

They used to be In N Out's secret menu. Now they have to settle for being McDonald's.

A year ago, I was 99 percent sure that Facebook would crash and burn within 5-10 years. Now, I'm only about 50 percent sure. Zuckerberg has proven to be quite savvy as an executive.

Another 10 years (meaning 20 total) would be one hell of a run for any website.

I don't think of it as a Web site any more. Its peers are not Pets.com or MySpace. Its peers are Apple and Google and IBM.

Facebook just bought a company for 19 bil. Bil.

I think they are doing fine.

I often wonder: Why aren't you working for the Wall Street Journal by now?
