I read this and I still can't believe it. As a father of a daughter I can't think of a punishment that could fit this crime.

Honor killings. Another great tradition brought to you by religion.

    Not religion

    A religion

And while the story doesn't mention a particular religion, Presbyeterians aren't committing honor killings.

    Not a religion.

A very small subset within that religion.

Yeah, but the problem is that the more religious a Muslim becomes, the more likely they are to engage in acts like honor killings and/or terrorism.

Face it folks, the basic tenets of Islam need to be challenged. It's the strict adherents to the religion that are the most dangerous. The most violent.

Women have no value among the religious under Islam.

At least Turkey is going to "investigate" this horrible incident.

    Look at this story:

This is acceptable under Sharia Law.

And time is not on our side. It's not getting better, it's getting worse.

    Here's Cairo University's Class of 1978:

I think I see one woman with her head covered.

    Now, look at this picture:

It's the 1995 Class of the same University & nearly every head is covered.

Just as the British let the Hindus in India know that it was no longer acceptable to burn the widow on the funeral pyre, the civilized world needs tell Islam that we will no longer stand by & recognize a religion that grants women no rights.

And it needs to start with the "moderate" Muslims.

No, it depends on the culture more than their devotion to Islam. It's why there are Hindu honor killings in parts of India. And why there has been an increase in honor killings among Christians in parts of the Middle East.

Some of Islam's heavy hitters have condemned the practice, BTW.
