Expedition Africa

    Anyone catch "Expedition Africa" on the History Channel? Kevin Sites seems like a pretty big wuss on the show. I don't know how he handled "hot zones" unless he had a pretty good armed guard around him.

    Caught the first episode and it looks like it'll be a pretty good show. I'll be following it this summer.

    I appreciate that they're trying to do it the way Stanley did in his search for Dr. Livingston, using the same navigational technology, etc., but here's my argument against that - Stanley was using state of the art equipment at the time and, were he alive today, you can be damn sure he'd bring a GPS along.

    It's a still a cool idea, but I wouldn't have faulted them at all for using modern technology.
