If I'm an LAPD officer and my name even appears in passing in that document, my family is already east of the Mississippi. Between his LAPD experience, his Navy training, and his knowledge of the people he's after, this is going to get worse before it ends.

It's been a day. Can we fix the misspelling in the thread title?
At first glance, I wasn't sure if Dorner was attacking other cops, some colleges, or shooting up a Hobby Lobby because he hates collages.

 

Just speculation, but it doesn't sound like this guy just "snapped." Pretty clearly this has been in the planning. So the "cornered in Big Bear" thing doesn't really sound right. Better idea is to do is stash a car in a remote area where you have another car waiting and head for the border.

 

This seems like a clear case where the use of a drone would be justified.

 

That could be problematic if he's sighted on, say, Colorado Boulevard or at the Santa Monica pier.

 

I don't know. They seem fairly precise from the video's.
