So I'm running some errands and I start flipping through the channels on my satellite radio and I hear a song starting that sounds like a combination of Pink, Kelly Clarkson with maybe a smidge of Go-Gos era Belinda Carlisle and Joan Jett in there.

Really good song. Ridiculously catchy. It's called something like "I'll be over you"

I assumed it was Pink. Turns out it was the first single from Allison Iraheta's debut album. She was the 16-year-old who finished fourth or fifth, I think fourth.

She was my favorite from last season, but if the other songs on her first CD are that good, she's going to be pretty successful.

If you weren't such a nice guy with all the NFL stories and Gannett news I would revoke your man card. ;D

Hey, at least she was a rock chick. ;D

Part of the reason I posted is because I was so surprised.

Not awesome, but not bad either. I wouldn't turn the station when it comes on.

Not that this is saying much, but I'll be surprised if the other two who got record deals will put out anything that good.

Wow... I just assumed Pink wrote So What since it was about her life. I'm sure he wrote it for her.

I'm guessing Max Martin is rich as shit. ;D

A bad running back that used to play at Michigan.

At least six of them from the most recent season have signed record deals ... Allison, Kris Allen (the winner), Danny Gokey, Matt Giraud, Adam Lambert and Anoop Desai.
