In related news, our very own Jones has a story about his, ahem, oversized Spaldings in the most recent Esquire.

I know that I never want to be asked to a party on a banana boat.

Nice feature about Shaq and how he's going to help LeBron win a title this season. I understand lead times and magazine deadlines, but why not run that last month? Why risk running after the Cavs are bounced from the playoffs?

When I read Esquire, I start thinking about winning the lottery. Then I wonder, "even if I had $100 million, would I really spend $30k on a watch or $800 on a cashmere travel pillow?"

Page 132 of the newest issue (with Miranda Kerr and her bra on the cover) is a profile of Shaq by Scott Raab. It arrived two days ago. Almost two weeks after Shaq's team was eliminated.

Come clean...you're at the upper right, matching the vest to the pants. Stylin'!

I'm not sure I've ever bought a suit.

I've owned two that were gifts, I believe: A white one (shade of Steve Martin or Tom Wolfe) and a beige one (shades of, well, maybe nobody).

Otherwise, the Navy blazer has done fine for me over the years -- but oddly, I can't find my latest one.

I will not be on the cover of Esquire/GQ anytime soon.
