    He drafted the running back and gave the linemen their starting roles and taught them the system. That insanely skilled group was hovering around .500 for three years and then he came in and they won eight, 13, 12 and 14 games.

    The comparison to the '89 San Francisco 49ers is too stupid to be taken seriously.

    This... Shanahan inherited talent, but he brought in Alex Gibbs to overhaul the offensive line, he drafted Terrell Davis and he created an offense that would maximize Elway's talent since he was toward the end of his career.

    The comparison to the team that Seifert inherited in San Francisco is idiotic.
