Kobe Bryant was 3rd in the NBA in scoring in 2010 and won a title. He's on an amazing run!

CC Sabathia has 91 wins since the start of the 2009 season. What a run! It's like the guy can't lose.

I was completely guilty of this the last time he wrote. I repeated a funny anecdote someone told me about Wright. The jokes are funny and he does live down there, but I hardly think covering The Masters or a story on Jordan is southern niche writing. Even the Shadow boxing story was from Miami. Not exactly the deep south.

Apparently the South includes South America and Southeast Asia.

Anyway, I've been guilty of it and I think largely because of the 30 for 30 he's always going to be associated with Ole Miss, but it's not like it's the only thing he writes about.

Didn't we have a thread not long ago in which someone (Double Down, perhaps?) provided a long list of stories that would directly refute Devil's claim? Not that we should feel the need to correct his obvious wrong. I mean, that could get exhausting. But still...I'm sure that list exists somewhere.

Anyway, the Rabedeaux was damn good. He is decidely NOT on a good run.

How many of you simple son's of bitches are willing say he does not have a southern focus to his writing?

And there is nothing wrong with him being a southern writer.

    It worked for Faulkner.

    Troll on.

I think you'd be hard pressed to find a writer with a wider variety of datelines.

A couple of those stories show up on both DD's and 93's list.
