    Even the headline - a bad pun - is wrong.

    16 seasons in the NBA isn't a bright-but-brief "shooting star" of a career.

    There’s still good journalism coming out of ESPN, but this a perfect example of something that’s getting play long after it’s already been thoroughly covered simply because of the website that produced it.

    There have been better players who’ve similarly been forced out of the league but with much less coverage.
