    Both Page and Beck explored musical themes (not always successfully) that Clapton wouldn't dream of, I have never found him to be that adventurous. His stuff with Wynton Marsalis is very good but that's as much to do with Marsalis and his band as it does with Clapton who acts like a very well-paid sideman a lot of the time.

    Anyone notice that the Beatles broke up about a year after recording "While My Guitar Gently Weeps"? Blame Clapton.

    i've always thought the clapton-harrison duel over patty boyd was much ado over little. she must've been much more fetching in person than in pixs/films... :eek: ::) ???

    then again their tastes were likely very skewed by heroin....

    Jeff Lynne is a great producer and I think was the driving force behind the Traveling Wilburys' formation.
