It takes an 18 year old kid to put that earwig Grace in her place!

Maybe she can look for Waldo. Or Carmen Sandiego.

    Pretty damn condescending, eh?

    Well, there go the ratings.

Wait? You say they're up? Who can I get to beat me up tonight?

As we all know, having good ratings is enough to get you into heaven, regardless of what it took to get said ratings. And of course, how you get those ratings isn't at all important.

Who does Nancy's hair? Bike or Schutt? Or is it Riddell?

What's the big deal? Like her or not, Grace did her job. Are you telling me that when you finally get a chance to hear from Smart in public you're not going to ask her about the obvious? That makes you the hack.

Just because Smart has an agenda, albeit a good one, doesn't mean anyone in news has to pander to it while ignoring the obvious. When Smart asked her nicely -- hardly a bitch slap -- to stop the questions, it sounds like Grace was apologetic and backed off.

You can say Grace isn't a journalist, but any interviewer worth their salt wouldn've done the same as her.

They just would have done a better job of it and probably gotten a better response.

I agree with jambalaya (though it rarely agrees with me).

If Elizabeth Smart is going to voluntarily go before the media pushing these bills, she should expect those kind of questions.

Like, "How did you see out of that burqa?" with feigned empathy? I don't think so. Poor interviewing by Grace.
