    MLBPipeline.com Editorial Producers are responsible for creating, editing and managing prospect and Draft content for MLB.com, MLBPipeline.com, Prospect Watch and the 30 MLB club sites. They also manage the @MLBPipeline, @MLBDraft and @FuturesGame Twitter accounts. Editorial Producers work closely with executive editors, columnists and reporters to ensure that the sites provide users with the most relevant, informative and interesting content possible.

    Responsibilities

    • Edit and post content for use on MLBPipeline.com., team sites and partner websites
    • Update the sites quickly and accurately
    • Write interesting headlines, captions, blurbs
    • Manage and update MLBPipeline.com’s Top Prospects lists
    • Use social media to promote MLB Pipeline content
    • Select and crop photos to pair with stories, prospect lists and other content packages
    • Make judgments on story significance and arrange content into lead packages on the site
    • Communicate with the rest of the team to ensure that all content is accurately placed on the MLB Pipeline site and other relevant sites
    Qualifications

    • Excellent copy-editing skills
    • Position may require work on nights and weekends
    • Experience with content management systems and web publishing
    • Thorough knowledge of baseball -- specifically about prospects and the Minor Leagues
    • Knowledge of social media and SEO
    • Basic HTML and Photoshop skills
    • Ability to work well under deadline and in fast-paced situations with multiple responsibilities
    • Strong communication, presentation and organization skills
