    I'd say give it a chance. I don't know if anyone expected Jamie Foxx to look *so much* like Ray Charles in Ray. I think if Murphy really works at it, he can create enough suspension of disbelief to make it work.

    With the right makeup artist Eddie can pull it off looking like Pryor, we already know he can sound like Pryor.

    No doubt. It wasn't going to take much for the Academy to NOT give the Award to a guy who once did a bit about floating shit in a bathtub and the guys in the Honeymooners fucking each other in the ass.

    Just like it wasn't going to take much for the Academy to NOT give the Award to Mickey Rourke. Him flirting with WrestleMania was more than enough.
