Earthquakes in Italy

    The death toll continues to mount w/more aftershocks:

    Just awful stuff...some of the pictures are heart-wrenching.

    I really, really hate to read about this. I can just imagine what some of those quiet little towns look like after earthquakes this big.

    I spent some time in central Italy back in the day (not exactly close to the epicenter, though), and some of my most fond memories are in those small towns, sipping a glass of wine and eating pizza (hey, I wasn't the foodie back then that I am now).
