Duel or dual?

    1. Dual Meet

I've never referred to a match within a dual as a "duel" ... it's been played with in headlines, but in wrestling lore "duel" is NOT terminology within the sport, other than a writer trying to get cutesy with some play-on-word situations.

Also, there's no such thing as a pinfall .... it's a pin or a fall, not combined. That's perhaps my biggest pet peeve in this sport, NO SUCH THING AS A PINFALL.

It's a made-up word from the pro wrestling realm that SID's overuse incorrectly.

That's a peeve of mine, too. I just wish there were more steel-cage matches in high school wrestling. Perhaps a full-on dual of steel-cage duels.

I'm waiting to see someone get Rock-Bottomed at a wrestling meet. Or have someone prance around like Hulk Hogan at the end of a match.

I always thought pinfall was a bowling term.
