Duel or dual?

    I'm sure this has been addressed before, but when dealing with wrestling is it a duel or dual? Duel makes more sense to me, but I often see it as dual. Is there something official on this?

    dual meet between two schools; duel on the mat between two wrestlers...

    Also the same with fencing, even though you expect it to always be duel.

    Right now. they have no wrestling. Herpes and an eight-day ban on the sport.
