    What Carrey did for Kaufmann was way better than the lisp Philip Seymour Hoffman added to his normal voice to become Capote. And yet, Hoffman walked away with an Oscar.

    And if Murphy deserves an award for anything it was his barber shop scene in Coming to America. Saul would kick the ass of any of the women he played in The Nutty Professor.

    Fuck anyone who trashes PSH in Capote. That is NOT his normal speaking voice.

    Plus, PSH is a big guy. How he played small in that movie impressed me.

    I've seen Jim Carrey do enough good drama (Maple Drive, Truman Show, Eternal Sunshine) to give him some credit for his chops. I haven't seen Man on the Moon, so I can't judge that one.
