    There's nothing wrong with the cliche . . . other than it's misplaced.

    Players running the team/deciding whom to trade for/whether the coach stays or goes is an example of inmates running the asylum.

    Players changing teams via free agency is . . . what they do every year.

    This is a lamer excuse for being offended than when advocates for the mentally challenged (did I say that right?) got onto Tiger Woods when he yelled "retard!" at himself.
