  1. OK.
I accept my definition of what a chickenhawk is more than I accept yours.

Would you criticize a politician for being a "chickenhawk" as defined above?

Also, I don't really understand your definition. Can you explain more clearly (I'm sometimes a bit slow) what you mean when you throw it around?

  3. No, I think wiki definition is too limited in scope as to be functional.
The political aspect of it, which I described above, is crucial to me.

Again, Istruggle with abstract subjects. Please define the term as you've been using it.

  5. "Chickenhawkery, as I use it, also includes the component of questioning the courage and patriotism of those people with whom you disagree -- as the vampire Veep and his enablers did throughout the last seven years. (Clinton never did it in re: Kosovo, even when Tom -- "The minorities got all the good spots"-- Delay was mouthing off in Congress) It also involves denigrating the military service of people with whom you disagree, even though you, ah, passed on the chance to serve yourself."

I think you should rethink using the term, because I don't know anyone who uses it in that way, and based on the colloquial useage, you sure seem to be taking a shot at yourself & lumping yourself with all of the folks you hate.

  7. Gee, thanks, Dad.
    You can piss off now.

As if there is a choice between those two descriptions.
