Since when -- like, ever -- did Donald Trump become a kingmaker? Riddle me that.

And he contributed to screwing up the USFL, too.

Maybe my favourite scene in all the great ESPN 30 in 30 docs was the one where the guy gave Trump the $3 check for damages awarded to the USFL from its suit against the NFL.

"Uh, you can have this back...."

He scheduled his debate opposite the Little Ceasers Pizza Bowl featuring Purdue and Western Michigan. Now no one's gonna watch.

Perry and Bachmann have said they won't attend either. So far, the only candidates who are committed are Newt, Santorum and Trump himself.

I think Newt is hoping that no other serious candidate decides to go, Trump cancels the thing and then endorses Newt.

With every governor and congressman lining up to rip Newt and endorse Romney, Newt probably feels like he needs someone to come out on his side.

If there is any justice in this world, Trump will be killed in a Tsunami.

He's filed the paperwork, which should be available from the FEC in 30 days.

Here's a recap of what he says is in it:

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump claimed a net worth exceeding $10 billion and a 2014 income of $362 million as he filed his financial disclosure with the U.S. government.

“This report was not designed for a man of Mr. Trump’s massive wealth,” his campaign said in a news release. “For instance, they have boxes once a certain number is reached that simply state $50 million or more. Many of these boxes have been checked.”

Trump, a real estate developer, property owner and media personality, claimed a net worth of $8.7 billion last month. In Wednesday’s statement, Trump’s campaign said that number was actually more than a year old.

The Trump campaign didn’t release the actual form that he filed with the Federal Election Commission, and campaign spokeswoman Hope Hicks referred a reporter to the FEC. The FEC has 30 days to release forms publicly after they are filed and reviewed. It won’t confirm whether Trump’s has been received.

When it’s released, the form will show that Trump has “almost 500 business entities” and that 91 percent of them are fully owned by him, according to the campaign statement.
