Does Time Magazine think Americans are stupid?

    My dad loves magazines and gets all sorts of cheap subscription offers, so he gave me a subscription to Time that started last year. I hadn't looked at a copy of Time in years and was really surprised at how much puff and pop culture there is in it. It's a fun read, but not the sort of hard-hitting thing you'd assume it would be.

    I gave up on Time and Newsweek a while back. NYT magazine is far better than either one.

    Ya know who's doing some amazing national reporting? New York Magazine. Outstanding.

    No, not at all.

    That's what the Time editors think will sell on the newsstands in the U.S., and they're right.

    He was talking in the way most people talk when they're talking to their pets...

    "Who's a terrible cover story? You are..."
