    He was quoted as saying Notre Dame would have a "decided schematic advantage" with him at the helm. Obviously, not the case.

    He was an absolute ass with the media from Day One (reminiscent of early-period ogre-mode Belichick) and his incessant self-promotional horn-honking fueled it.

    With the general public, it was when he started losing games by the bucketload. That's usually when coaches start being regarded as idiots.
