Does Charlie Weis get fired or forced to quit?

This is a very bastardized version of an Indiana joke about the South Bend weather, Dixie.

The priests who founded Notre Dame were supposed to head to the Wild West to found the school. They got to South Bend, and a storm hit. They couldn't go on that night, so they decided to set up camp and stay until the weather improved and they could go continue on their way.

The weather there is worse than Columbus, having been both places. Can't speak for State College though.

 

They better win their bowl game. Notre Dame has NEVER suffered consecutive losing seasons. And even the all-time low-water mark, Joe Kuharich, only had one losing season in between three 5-5 seasons.

When it happens, it couldn't happen to a more deserving jerk.

Enjoy life in the "where are they now" file, Charlie. Had your accomplishments matched your ego, you'd still be a nobody.

 

Charlie Weis deserves to be canned. But I'm not a Notre Dame fan, so I wouldn't mind seeing him stay.

To answer the first question.....yes;

What bowl committee is going to want Notre Dame? They invite them to a bowl, they're inviting name only....not even a decent team.

 

They'll be invited to a bowl somewhere. The school's fanbase is too deep and travels too well for every bowl to snub them.

Just facts ... not a fan of Notre Dame in any way, shape or form.

 

They're 6-6. Charlie has been quoted to the effect that they want to go, for the extra practice opportunities, if nothing else.

They're going, unless the administration steps in, for reasons of their own.

 

They might have the best traveling fan base because there are so many transplants and people who live all over who just grew up liking them.
I want them to play Ball State or a Sun Belt or CUSA team and get their asses kicked.
