You really think the ACC execs are going to sit down and ask, "Before we invite you to join our conference, exactly when will it be that NCAA sanctions hit?" The interview is more likely to last three minutes and involve one question: "How much more money can you help us make?"

Let's face it, we wouldn't have 99 percent of these problems if colleges simply didn't admit those that clearly have no business there.

During the Virginia-Louisville game, Vitale brought up the Boeheim and said that he was "just too trusting" and that some assistant and boosters took advantage of that and cheated.

Boeheim certainly wouldn't break any NCAA rules.

    Ha!

Feinstein: ACC fluffs its past on a bad week for its present - The Washington Post

I like Feinstein. Pat Forde ripped Boeheim. But Vitale essentially is the unofficial spokesman for ESPN, and when it comes to sports, ESPN dictates the general consensus. Now if FOX, CBS or NBC and their sportschannels start ripping the general consensus, as FOX News did with politics, sort of counter programing, maybe Boeheim doesn't come back? Maybe UNC gets ripped. But until then there is no outrage and the game and money go on.
